In 2018, in a far-off land called Burbank California, a group of gamers, some hardcore, some casual, all of them writers and performers, came together to create a TV show about something they all loved, and the Above Board TV pilot was born.

Here, dear viewer, is the legendary unaired pilot that was shown to industry insiders and hobby-game convention-goers that allowed the group to secure the funding to open their own state-of-the art Unreal-Engine powered studio in Los Angeles, CA, The Core, and establish their YouTube Channel: @aboveboardTV  

Hardcore hobby-gamer, professional writer, director, and voice over actor, Travis Oates, the show's creator and showrunner, hosts along with his long-time friend, professional actor, writer, director, and (at the time) casual gamer Leif Gantvoort.

In this EPIC episode, we go Above the Board with two epically featured games: Heroes of Land, Air, and Sea, and Raiders of the North Sea, Travis and Leif sit down with the Dice Tower's Tom Vasel for one of his epic top-ten lists, Leif seeks therapy from one of the most epic, legendary TV doctors of our time, Robert Picardo, Travis visits Denver Colorado's The Wizard's Chest, one of the most epic friendly, local, game stores ever, and he interviews the epic Josh and Adam Carlson From Chip Theory Games.
