Pliers are Liars
Leif Gantvoort and Brett Sheridan are back in the second episode of Middle Aged Wasteland, and the struggle is real! With their war rig dreams stalled, the duo realizes they’re missing one minor detail: a working engine. Or is it a motor? (What’s the difference, anyway?) Enlisting Doug Gantvoort’s mechanical wisdom once again, the hunt begins. From sifting through rusted-out relics to debating what even counts as “functional,” the team scrambles to find a solution before Wasteland Weekend sneaks up on them.
Will they piece together an engine in time, or will their Mad Max-inspired dreams go up in smoke? Expect plenty of laughs, a little frustration, and some questionable engineering choices as they race the clock.

In this 4 part series, two knuckleheads (Leif Gantvoort and Brett Sheridan) set out to build a War Rig for Wasteland Weekend (the post apocalyptic Mad Max themed event that takes place in the Mojave Desert). They have less than 3 weeks to build the car in South Dakota, get it back to California, and to the Wasteland car show.
